    Referral Pathways (Choose What Works for You)

    A) Standard Referral (Consult → Plan → Treat)

    Best for newly diagnosed patients who need oncology evaluation and treatment planning.

    Process

    1. Referring doctor sends brief summary + reports

    2. Appointment scheduled on priority

    3. Consultation + plan finalized

    4. Treatment initiated and referring doctor updated

    B) Second Opinion Referral (Plan Confirmation)

    Best when the patient already has a diagnosis/treatment plan and needs confirmation.

    Process

    1. Reports received for review

    2. Second opinion consult conducted

    3. Written plan summary shared with patient and (if requested) referring doctor

    C) Radiotherapy-Only Referral (Co-managed Care)

    Best when systemic therapy/surgery is done elsewhere and radiotherapy is required locally or via tie-up.

    Process

    1. Share diagnosis, stage, surgical/chemo details

    2. Simulation and planning scheduled

    3. Radiotherapy delivered as per agreed protocol

    4. Completion summary shared for continued follow-up with referring team


    What Information to Send (Referral Checklist)

    To expedite care, please share:

    • Patient identifiers: name, age, contact number, city

    • Provisional diagnosis and key clinical notes

    • Biopsy / histopathology report (HPE)

    • IHC report (if available)

    • Imaging reports (CT/MRI/PET-CT) ± images (DICOM if possible)

    • Prior treatment details (surgery notes, chemo regimen, RT summary if any)

    • Relevant labs and comorbidities

    • Specific referral question (e.g., “RT planning for H&N,” “adjuvant decision,” “second opinion”)

    Do you provide feedback to the referring doctor?
    Yes. With patient consent, we share key plan details and treatment summary to support continuity of care.

    Can the patient continue follow-up with the referring physician?
    Absolutely. Our model is collaborative; we support co-managed care.

    Do you accept outstation referrals?
    Yes. We coordinate appointments, report pre-review, and treatment scheduling to reduce patient travel burden.
