Appendix Cancer Treatment in Lucknow | Rare Tumour Care | I D Cancer Center
Overview
Appendix cancer (appendiceal cancer) is a rare tumour that begins in the appendix—a small, finger-shaped organ attached to the large intestine. Unlike common gastrointestinal cancers, appendix cancer often causes no symptoms in early stages and is frequently discovered during surgery for appendicitis or abdominal scans.
Despite its rarity, effective treatment is possible with timely diagnosis, advanced imaging, and multidisciplinary care. At I D Cancer Center, we provide comprehensive evaluation and personalized treatment plans for all appendix tumour types.

Prognosis
Prognosis depends on tumour type, stage, and extent of spread.
Neuroendocrine tumours often have excellent outcomes
Mucinous tumours need long-term monitoring
Adenocarcinomas require multimodal therapy
Early diagnosis improves survival significantly.
